Dimensions in Prayer
Prayer is awakening one's spirit to connect with Father God.

I once asked some children what prayer was. I got several good answers, talking to God, asking God for things, saying memorized prayers, etc. But one little girl said “listening to God”.
I was astounded by that answer. Many times I have thought about that, because there should be as much listening as talking. Our ears should be fine tuned to that still small voice. My first prayer I remember was at 6 years of age when I asked Jesus to live in my heart. Oh my!
Prayer takes so many forms and moves in many dimensions such as petition, supplication, worship, adoration, meditation, contemplation, it can be written, vocalized, agonized, cried out, thought, sung, danced, imagined. You can see many of those examples in the Psalms.
Developing our prayer life can be a wonderful exciting experience. It is vital to our relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I gave a little saying to the children when I was teaching them about a Father who loves them and wants to spend time with them. The saying is, “We go to the Father, through the Son, by the Spirit, they are one.” And in the corporate setting there can be a most dynamic orchestration of Holy Spirit working through each individual’s gifts.
“By contrast, we have already come near to God in a totally different realm, the Zion-realm, for we have entered the city of the Living God, which is the New Jerusalem in heaven! We have joined the festal gathering of myriads of angels in their joyous celebration!”
Hebrews 12:22 TPT

“for tremendous power is released through the passionate, heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!”
